What can you say about the 8th graders' opener? Going into the game with two of the big dawgs hurt and then seeing Gilberth and Nick carried off the field could easily have crushed these guys, but they all hung in there.

7th Grade Football vs Salina South 9-2-2010

Panther defenders swallow up a South ball carrier.

Karter & Cameron have the runner stopped, and Dustin moves in to make sure.

Act one of the Emmanuel show; he leads a pack of defenders to the goal line.

Nice open field tackle!

Panthers swarm all over the runner and...

...stop him in his tracks.

Cameron carries for a few yards.

Cooper barks signals to start play.

Wyatt smiles as he sets his sites on the ball carrier.

Touchdown Panthers!

Way to hang in there.

Another nice tackle.

Trevor and ? tackle the runner for a loss.

Emmanuel sets off on another long gallop.

Salina players are strewn all over the field after he twisted through them on his way to another long touchdown run.

Cooper drags the Salina player to a stop.

Ball!!!!!!!!!

Karter takes several defenders with him as he picks up yardage.

Cooper grabs the runner for a loss.

A pair of Panthers team up to break up a psss.

Cooper pitches to Cameron on 2nd down.

Cameron takes the ball for several yards.

Emmanuel gets a few tough yards up the middle.

Salina ball carrier Eric McCullough breaks through a hole...

...and hurdles a Panther tackler for a good gain.

A few plays later he swings wide for a Salina TD.

Emmanuel slams on the brakes as he tries to change direction.

Cameron gets hit in the backfield

Emmanuel leads the way as Cameron goes wide right again...

...and almost ends up in my lap!

Emmanuel strikes again. On his way to another TD and............

........a few minutes later does it AGAIN!!!!!!

Salina players react after a PAT attempt that would have tied the game comes up short.

Most coaches' favorite formation, the kneel down. Panthers win 30 - 28.
