USAC Sprints @ Dodge City 8-12-2011

A lot of sprints were racing this weekend at some track up in Iowa, but there were still several really fast cars in Dodge for opening night, and there wasn't a wing in sight! I like the winged sprints OK, but there's nothing like the non-wing when they throw them into the corners in the classic slides.

I'd shot hots & heats in turn 2 because of the light, but went down to #1 for the feature. Great race. Hud Cone led most of the race, but Hines finally got around and then held on for the win. You can go to USAC's site for a better report, but the pics tell the story pretty well.
